I hope it goes the same way for me.
Will wait for another 15 days at least before i try to do anything else.

tonyHK12 appreciate your inputs. We are already united. IV has several thousand members and has conducted several campaigns. The leaders are very capable persons also. You have put forward a general idea but this has been debated a great deal. What is the purpose of even a poll when it is absolutely clear that everybody in this group would welcome a bill solely for reducing backlogg? The question is how can we get the legislator to write and introduce such a bill and then how to get it to pass. Who will support such a bill? Your desire is similar to everybody else in this group but until there is a definite strategy which is different from what has already been tried there is no point in just creating discussions foccussed on desires.
First think out a strategy and put it out. Others will then coment or join it.
Putting out vague goals like "we need a bill" is of not much use. the question that you need to answer is "how?"

Well, here we are: the water is IV's target...the pebbles are the contributions ($200, great, but $20, still good!!) from a large number of members. It's impossible to justify why one can not contribute $200 when the core members and some others like you & anurakt have given so much more. I believe it is equally important to encourage as many members to contribute as much they can.

No contribution is too small if it is actually made. An ounce of action is better than a pound of intention!


Some legislative action is expected in Feb. Money will be needed immediately. I don't think $20/month is the answer.

I think $200 is a very reasonable amount based on the cause. Life is not a charity.

You should pay a total of $200 immediately if you have paid less then $200.

sps108-04 01:10 PMI have applied for labor certification in Dec 2006. In may 2007 I got a denail stating that the company is not "bonafide". It is a new company and I am the 1st applicant for labor. We sent all the supporting documents and requested for review/appleal in May 2007. Since then we did not get any status from them. My attorney called them last week and made an inquiry. DOL Atlanta said that they need to do the "central check" of teh company. They do this for every new company. Does anybody aware of this "central check". How long it will take?

Got RFE on e-filed AP for my wife. They probably lost photos and asked for new set. Just shipped the reply and photos back to TSC.

Hope that triggers something.

Last time, I got couple of soft LUDs on 07/24; 07/25; 07/27 on all our EADs and APs. Wife's AP has hard LUD 08/05 (when they issued RFE) and soft LUD 08/06 (when RFE was mailed).

77th Day and counting.... if this make you feel better :-). just kidding...

same with my online status. we responsed to RFE in July 2009 and status showed RFE for the last one year. Recently (about a week back) a 'new' status field RFE review has been added and my application is in that status. Not sure if it means anything.

However, the explanation offered in other posts in this thread (notably, logiclife and shantak) does sound compelling. as someone said, file asap if you can. if you cannot, do not worry, as 1. it won't help and in 2. my humble opinion, shutting the door for ALL within the first month of opening the door for ALL, will be a shame, and will set a very bad precedent, so most likely they will wait at least until end of July before the shut the doors.
