I know that you have been harping on this for a long time that eventually EB2 will be held back in favor of EB3, but there is no logical basis for this argument. Why isn't EB1 for the retrogressed countries backlogged? With your logic, there should be a time when EB1 is held back for EB2 and EB3 to catch up.

The fact is that most of Pre 2004 EB2 lot is already out of the system. Those who are still in are sufferer of namecheck and BECs.There is no perfect mechanism to determine the ratio but I would guess 80% are out from that group. Second factor what we need to look is Most of EB3 Mid 2002 to Mid 2005 are still in the system. Third factor what we need to understand is that EB3 filing is always more than double of EB2. Fourth fact is that USCIS has to see "FIFO" is followed or not. So end effect would be we will see EB3 India progressing from this December till April 2008 bulletins reasonably. EB2 will be put on hold . End result in summary would be both EB2 and Eb3 will be brought to Middle of 2005 by next June bulletin. Once that happens Eb2-I will moving faster with comparision to EB3-I.

If a person is here for 10 years and then get his green card (average period), then he need to wait for another 5 years to get the citizenship. 15 years for this process in a person's life is too much.
IV Core can push or lobby for a law which can make the person a US citizen, if he is living in US for 10 years legally without any issues and paying taxes for the entire period. It is just my idea.

I am surprised, but are you really a member of the "high skilled" community or are you just faking it to be on this forum?
I don't think you should embarrass your self or your profession, though we do not know your identity.

amitjoey04-09 05:17 PMWhen we were running this campaign with a goal to reach 10,000 members most of us were hitting a wall with a lot of new people on H1.
It seemed like a lot of new people (newly on H1- ONLY 2-3 years on a H1) did not seem to care about the issues surrounding EB Visas and the employment based GC-MESS. They simply were too new and frankly had not filed their permanent labor or given a thought about it. They were/are naive about the steps involved, the complications and the number of years it will take w/retrogression.
With this new bill S1035 in debate restricting H1-Renewals and other such things, we can get a lot of these people's attention.
So lets reach out to these people again, and get them involved. We need a lot of strength in terms of number of members and sorry, the annoying other item that I am scared to talk about is more $$.

It was good to hear that they are now very aware of these bills.
Nearly all used the ploy "Where are you from?", to screen out those who are not from their district, but politely noted the call in their logs.
It was also good to be able to say that I had already spoken with my Congressman on the subject (because that's where they expect you to go first).
I've spoken with a lot of law maker's aids, and this ("where are you from?") is a ploy that is typically used when they have a high volume of calls. I would take that as a good sign.

Well I had called a NY congresswoman when I was stuck in a H1 name check. I found them open and willing to help. She even contacted the FBI.

Well I am just an ordinary person, and the same as everyone here, and not saying I will do everything myself. There are persons who are better skilled at this and know the immigration law better.

Also don't rule out lobbying, I just said we also need something else that should justify our case without a lobby. I'm asking for suggestions or ideas.
I may be new here, If you see my post on the other forum, I'm asking for the creation of an organization with skilled people who will create a new campaign among legal immigrants. Kind of like Grass roots movement.

This is for USCIS stage stuff only. The man needs access to the DOL's PERM system. Only his employer can give him that access. Will they - that heavily depends on the employer (the particular people who handle these matters at that company)

I think that we all should send the letter individually. Why? Because the if each one of us will send, it will look genuine and will remind the DoL each time/day they get a letter. We have 50 some people, 50 letters will make them look into it.

P.S: good job in finding the plan, its about time that we do something, I dont think any more people are going to come.
