I am not sure which point u did not like. For me they help every one in the line waiting for gc.
Having a tolerable time ensures that USCIS processes all the applications they receive in reasonable time. Eliminating renewals reduces lot paper work, money, time and energy. If this is considered as unacceptable I do not know what one should expect. I just wrote what I think is meaningful. If have a better idea, please feel free to comment. But stop commenting on other. That will only spoil the good spirit of the members in this thread


I am not saying that I don’t like your suggestion.. They already started issuing 2 year EAD. Where are you all these days...

Tuesday evening would be a Congressional Reception. After that we would have an IV meeting with members to discuss IV next steps etc. So keep departure flights to be late Tuesday night or after. I would highly recommend being in the Congressional Reception. You will get to meet several staffers and lawmakers here and talk to them.

If this law passes, It would be hard to get hired by a prospective employer, transfer or extend your H1B, As they would back off from employing H1B's. So no Microsoft or IBM would be willing to spend time trying to prove that they need people on H1B. Not just Hi-tech sector but this law would affect each and everyone who is currently on H1B or who are trying to get on to H1B. It would be stupid to think that once everyone one is gone, you could pick those left behind because these jobs would start moving out of the country in a much larger scale than you could imagine.


This is actually a very good idea. Maybe not 10% even 25% is fine.
This way microsoft, oracle etc. can get their workers.
Even Deloitte, PWC they hire americans and pay you when you're on bench.
Unlike most indian consulting companies, which don't pay you when you're on bench and make you lie on your resume.

- The first step is Commitment to your Health and Wellness. This can be achieved by putting away 30 - 45 minutes three to four times a week. That could be at lunch, evenings, mornings whatever time is suitable for you.

- The next one is consistency. You do not have to Jump start today by walking/ running 45 minutes, 5 times a week. If you can only do that for 30 minutes twice a week that is fine but you have to be consistent with it. You get addicted to it after a while and increase the time. You also do not have to run marathon's to be healthy and active.

You can start walking and you can set yourself a goal of walking 1 miles or 3.1 miles (5K) by a certain date. There are several races in the Tristate Area that you can choose to paricipate. you can find an event on runnersworld.com or active.com or we (Team IV) can help you find a local event. you can recruit your friends/ family to participate as well. If you can get a few folks in the Tristate chapter to do this as Team IV that will be awesome.

Also please let us know if you need any help/ guidance etc in finding an event and getting started with walking/ running. We will be Glad to help you out in anyway.



Folks, sorry I have not been in much action, with other stuff taking priority, but I would definitely like to know what it takes to do this? I have completely lost fitness due to bad lifestyle, long commutes to work, working spouse, small baby, and other tensions and I like this idea a lot.

Nolaindian - can you briefly explain how this marathon works? Does every city have a marathon to which we register, is it a community? Who sponsers? Do we do it as IV? Do we all form a group. Are the rules set by us? Do we pledge????

I can definitely start off with a short one - until I pick up on fitness :) Tri state members are more than welcome to join me :)

Comment 1: Actually, I dont know if I should use IV address, and the way I wrote at the top on the letter is the right way. And if so what exactly should we use, just the URL?

Comment 2: The sheets/sign-offs are from people with 'Pending Audit' Audit status, it might be a good idea to somehow describe that in the letter or put it at the bottom. I am not sure how do we tell that these people signed the letter. Do you get my point?



For case number, I already asked the same question to Ron and posted the reply. He believes, if there is no case number and there wont be any weightage or immportance.

I agree but I think we should leave it up to the people, whoever wants to provide its up to them.

The title of the thread is misleading.
IV is already helping. The aim of IV is to eliminate retrogression so that everyone does not have to wait. We also understand that EB3 I is in a much greater mess than anyone else.
